CHBE MEMORIAL HONORING THE LEADERS WE LOST

Katharine Thomas was more than a board member and director at Children Healing by Expression. She was a guiding light whose compassion, wisdom, and unwavering dedication shaped the soul of our organization. She had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and cared for, leaving an impact that continues to guide our work.
A lifelong advocate for justice and healing, Katharine believed in the power of expression to transform pain into strength. She actively participated in our community efforts, including the Mother’s Day Walk for Peace and the Walk for Hunger, always showing up with warmth and purpose.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Thomas family for continuing to honor Katharine’s legacy and support CHBE in her memory. Their continued love and generosity reflect the spirit that Katharine shared so freely with the world.
Her legacy lives on in every story told, every piece of art created, and every child empowered through expression. We are forever grateful for the beauty she brought into our community and the lives she touched.
On February 18, 2023 we sadly lost our dear Program Director and volunteer Robin Milton-Parham, sister of our founder and Executive Director Beverly Parham.
Robin dedicated her career tirelessly serving as case manager with Boston Medical Center's Teens and Tots Program. Over decades, Robin also proudly participated in numerous community-based activities: The Mother’s Day Walk for Peace, The Walk for Hunger, Breast Cancer Walk
Robin's greatest joys and pleasures were found in cherished quality-time spent with family, friends, loved ones and in life's simplest pleasures: a quiet evening at home, sipping a good cup of coffee, listening to music, nights out dancing with friends (divas) and a good laugh with those she adored.
We will never forget her trademark red lipstick, that uncanny ability to find happiness and joy in life's smallest activities and her pleasant personality that was contagious to all she met.
What we will miss most about Robin's was her ever-present and infectious smile and spirit.

"I will endure a lifetime of missing you for the privilege of loving you"
